The Helper Civic Auditorium, with its curving Streamline Moderne style, is a legacy of President Franklin Roosevelt’s Work Progress Administration. Built in 1937, it hosts the Helper Library in the south wing, while the auditorium is available for rental and community events. It houses a full commercial kitchen, restrooms, ETC. Some of the events hosted at the Auditorium are cooking classes, Tuesday Night Yoga, and the Helper Christmas Craft Fair.

The Auditorium offers one large venue and two smaller rooms, along with access to the commercial kitchen. Inquiries for rental may be directed to the Helper City Hall.

Big John, the 18-foot-tall coal miner, welcomes you to the Auditorium and honors the legacy of the coal mining industry that gave Helper life and once supported the communities throughout Carbon County.
