Approaching Ghost Ranch

A resident of Parowan, Utah, Ress frequently travels to the many national parks near his studio. He was born on Long Island, New York, but spent his childhood in Roswell, New Mexico where he had an apprenticeship with a sign company. Later, he became an art director in Las Vegas. Ultimately, he turned to making fine art, taking much of his early inspiration from Taos, New Mexico, where he lived for several years until 1987, when he moved to Utah.
