Born to Rein

Born in Salt Lake City, Ivancich received her early training in art as the student of Don Olsen at Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah in the 1950’s. From that opportunity to learn painting from a great teacher, she went on to the Chouinard Institute of Art and Design in Los Angeles for further study (1959-60). She later graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in 1985, followed by an MFA two years later. Ivancich is known for painting color field abstractions.
