Fraughton is considered by many to be one of the leading sculptors of traditional Western subjects in the nation. Born and raised in Park City, he studied and taught sculpture with Avard T. Fairbanks in the art department at the University of Utah in the 1950s and 60s. His work is included in numerous public, corporate, and private collections in the U.S., and he has executed several major public commissions.
