Elkhorn

Jay Fisher Hennefer was born in Logan, Utah. A dedicated art educator and painter in oils and watercolor, he taught in the Granite School District for many years before retiring in 1976. After study with B.F. Larsen and Edgar Jensen at Brigham Young University, he graduated in 1938 as a music and art major, and found a job at Olympus Junior High School the following year, where he remained for 37 years. Among his students were noted Utah artists Charles Stubbs and Denis Phillips.
