Edward Dolinger was born in Cheverly, Maryland, and studied at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. He is a watercolorist, pastellist, and sculptor. An abstractionist, Dolinger’s professional life has been quite varied. A systems analyst for computer firms, he made a turnabout in 1971 to begin art studies. He was an active part of the art world in Utah from the mid-1970s until he returned to the East Coast in about 2002, where is currently a lecturer in art at Virginia’s Hollins University.
