Genomochroma

GenomoChroma is a light refractive frieze that uses natural light to create a changing color field and is inspired by analytic chromatography and geometric shapes found in nature, particularly in microbiology and chemistry, the chromatic glass rectangles are angled to catch the sunlight and accentuate the patterns that reference the genetic markers of the DNA sequence, genomics. The artwork is intended to enhance and animate the façade of the Unified Lab building as well as honor the scientific work and research that takes place within the facility.
