Wulf Erich Barsch was born in Reudnitz, Bohemia. He is one of Utah’s most interesting printmakers and painters. He became a faculty member at Brigham Young University in 1972, and was awarded a Prix de Rome by the American Academy in Rome in 1975. A searcher for expression beyond currently accepted conventions; he is an abstractionist and symbolist with spiritual intent.
