Born in Canada and raised in Utah, Card’s inspiration and focus has been Utah’s red rock landscape. He creates color as well as black and white woodcuts, an conveys the majesty of the Utah badlands in his paintings. Card has BFA and MFA degrees from Brigham Young University. His prints and paintings are included in university and private collections nationwide, including the Smithsonian Library’s Special Collections (Artists Books). He has taught part time for the University of Utah and Utah Valley State College, and for sixteen years was a printmaking instructor at BYU. Card now devotes his time to painting and printmaking.
