San Francisco artist Shepherd has BFA and MFA degrees from the University of Utah, and a Master of Library Science from Brigham Young University. While on the staff of the Marriott Library at the University of Utah, she helped build the Fine Arts Library into an important resource. Shepherd moved to San Francisco in the mid-80s, and has continued to produce poetic abstract work in chalk and collage.
