Pioneer Pine

Cornelius Salisbury, whose wife and son were also popular landscape painters in Utah, was a well-known artist and teacher. Born in Richfield, he studied at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, in New York at the Art Students League and the Pratt Institute, and at the Corcoran Gallery School in Washington, D.C. Salisbury was best known for his paintings of the Utah landscape.
