Salt Lake City native Brad D. Slaugh earned a BFA from the University of Utah in 1991. He went on to earn an MFA from Boston University in 1995. Slaugh’s paintings are representational, though not strictly realist. He is also an art educator and currently teaches at Salt Lake Community College. Slaugh cites artist such as el Greco, Caravaggio, Eric Fischl and David Hockney as influential in his own work.
