Claudia Coberly is a mixed media artist who uses materials such as recycled scraps of paintings, scraps of wood. and plaster. Coberly moved often due to her father’s Naval career, attending twelve schools, before arriving in Jacksonville, Florida. These moves introduced her to new environments that inspired her art. In the 1960s, she attended Ringling School of Art, and eventually completed her education at the University of Utah, with a BFA in 1995 and an MFA in 1998.
