Snow Queen

Ogden, Utah printmaker, photographer and commercial artist Harry George Taylor received his MFA degree from the Art Institute of Chicago. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Taylor came to Utah in 1950 and worked for 30 years as an art director at a publishing company in Ogden. He produced his distinctive woodcut prints for many years, exhibiting at local galleries throughout the state. His work is included in the public collections of the Utah Museum of Fine Art, the Museum of Art at Brigham Young University, and the Utah Arts Council. In 1998, Taylor received the Utah Governor’s Award for the Arts.
