Larry Elsner was originally from Gooding, Idaho. He was a nationally recognized sculptor and ceramic artist/craftsman. Elsner was a popular and important art faculty member at Utah State University in Logan from 1960 until his death. He studied metalsmithing at Michigan’s famed Cranbrook Academy and received his BS from Utah State University in 1957, and an MFA from Columbia University in 1958.
