Bus shelter decoration: metal dragon on peak of roof. Park City was born when rich silver ores were discovered in 1868. Chinese immigrants, imported to build the transcontinental railroad, found their way to Park City. Not allowed below ground to mine, they handled camp chores of cooking and washing. They were an integral part of life in Park City and lived in a community at the top of Swede Alley where the China Bridge parking structure now stands.
