Bill Parkinson was born in Hyrum, Utah. Mainly self-taught as an artist, he called himself a “graduate of the ‘Depression School’“. He described his painting style as surrealist, but also produced portrait paintings and worked as a decorator in Salt Lake City from the late 1940s on.
