Paulmar Torsten Jansen Fjellboe was born in Odalen, Norway, and studied painting at the Danish Royal Academy. He emigrated to Utah around the end of the 19th century. Once in Salt Lake City, he became a member of the local Norwegian Chorus and was well-known for views in oil of Utah’s Wasatch mountain landscape.
