Utah Experience
California native David Roy Pendell was born in Pasadena. Pendell studied at Pasadena City College in California and earned a BA in 1970 and an MA in 1972 from California State University at San Diego. He taught at the University of California at Long Beach and San Diego State before joining the University of Utah faculty in 1977. Pendell works in ceramics, blown glass, woodworking, leatherworking, and small metal design.
