For over twenty-five years, the Museum has been preserving and exhibiting artifacts, documents, and photographs that trace the historical, cultural, recreational, and economic development of the communities of North Davis County. The Museum opened its doors with a small display of Native American and pioneer relics. Since that time, it has expanded its collection inventory to over 2,102 artifacts, 1,890 historical documents and newspapers, and 3,357 photographs. The bulk of the Museum’s collection dates from the turn of the century when Layton was principally a rural, agricultural community.
