International Peace Gardens

Organized in 1947 by the Salt Lake City Council of Women, the International Peace Gardens honor the various cultures throughout the world. The gardens were designed to encourage cultural tolerance and worldwide peace among all nations and classes of people. The gardens are famous for their plots, designed to represent more than 26 countries and 14 nations. Other items on display include flags, plaques and statues. The gardens provide a serene spot for relaxation and meditation. And there are a plethora of picture opportunities for those with a passion for photography.
