The Prehistoric Museum is pleased to announce it’s reopening in conjunction with the start of USU Eastern’s Fall Semester. Starting Monday, August 31st, the museum will resume its normal hours of operation from 9 am – 5 pm, Monday through Saturday. There will be some changes in visitation, but we are excited to welcome you back!
Changes to Visitation:
Visitation is capped at 60 visitors. We recommend that you reserve your time slot online. Walk-in visitors will be welcomed if the museum is not at capacity.
Visitors will be required to wear a mask, per USU policy 20.T3
Visitors will be required to share their contact information and confirm they have no symptoms of Covid-19.
Visitors will be required to follow directional guidelines throughout the museum and maintain social distance with those outside of their group.
Dinosaurs, Ice Age & Archaeology, this museum has it all!
Located in downtown Price, Utah – The Prehistoric Museum, USU Eastern offers the visitor both paleontology and archaeology with sprinklings of geology including a fluorescent minerals exhibit.
See hands-on exhibits with bilingual text, cell phone tours, which accompany select exhibits, real dinosaur bone, dinosaur tracks, baskets, pottery, and so much more.
Observation Labs are an area of the museum where visitors can witness the processes of fossil preparation and curation as well as speak with museum technicians in a one-on-one setting.
