University of Utah College of Architecture + Planning

The Cchool of Architecture has been continually accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) since 1951 and is the only architecture school in Utah. The school currently offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies and two options for graduate work: a two-year and a three-year Master of Architecture degree. The College’s award-winning faculty excels in teaching, research, architectural practice and service to the local and national communities. Class sizes are some of the smallest of any accredited school in North America, averaging 25 students per undergraduate class and averaging 15 students per graduate. Their students receive individual attention from the faculty.

The College of Architecture also offers incredible opportunities for students to travel, research and work on design-build projects. In the last five years, their students traveled to Spain, Germany, Austria, Japan, Mexico, Argentina, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles, and have built homes for deserving families on the Navajo Reservation (300 miles southeast of Salt Lake City).
