Bolo Rodrigues

Musician/ Artist from Kona, Hawaii. Music is original classical, Spanish, finger style guitar with percussive beats on the guitar body, tuned and fused with Hawaiian slack key(Ki ho alu) Taro patch tunning.This is combined with ukulele that is attached to guitar and played simultaneously, while singing and or doing spoken word,poetry.I like doing originals,composing, improvising, as i think that is where the magical essence happens.Whether performing original or covers, I play only positive music as I think there is so much of the other out there. In 2009, I had created and co wrote a song,Kaiholena, that was sung by actress Tia Carrea on her Grammy nominated cd. On the art side, I have a clothing line with inspired designs from Hawaii. Material made of bamboo and organic cotton as well as hats,shoes,posters,painting,CD’S,etc. Mahalo nui loa, and I hope we connect to enlighten, encourage and move forward a positive and inspirational voice in MUSIC and ARTS.
