Now Playing Utah is a charitable service that showcases transformative cultural experiences across Utah. Support is provided by:

Joe Killian currently serves as the production manager for UtahPresents at the historic Kingsbury Hall with the University of Utah, where he spent four seasons as the chief sound engineer and resident designer. Mr. Killian is a free-lance designer of sound effects, soundscapes and arranged music for film, video games and the performing arts. Theatrical designs include the American Classics Series at The Grand Theatre, four seasons with Salt Lake Shakespeare Company, and a variety of shows throughout Salt Lake and beyond.  His work on Confessions of a Mormon Boy was seen in London and at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland.

Additionally, he has stage-managed a cornucopia of shows across the nation, from Salome with Utah Opera to Cosí in New York’s Catskill Mountains, and even a touring production of Oedipus at Colonus in Athens, Greece. Locally, Mr. Killian has worked with such prestigious companies as Plan-B, PTC, the Egyptian Park City, and served as The Grand Theatre’s resident stage manager for a number of years.
