Kevin Wasden

Kevin’s journey in art started when he was a child, drawing comic book heroes and creating doodles for friends. The turning point came in Mr. Sylvester’s 6th-grade art class at Fillmore Middle School, where he discovered the enchantment of light and shadow.

His artistic skills were further honed during college at Utah State University, where mentors like Glen Edwards and Gregory Schulte guided him. Kevin also delved into figure painting under the tutelage of Andy Reiss in Brooklyn, New York.

As a professional illustrator and designer, Kevin has made significant contributions to various publishers, such as Avon Camelot, Baen, Fantasy Flight Games, and Alderac Entertainment Group. Notably, he played a crucial role in designing mascot characters and costumes for Alinco Costumes, including those for teams like the Chicago Bulls and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Throughout his career, Kevin generously shared his expertise as a private art instructor and high school teacher. He continues to create fine art and illustrations, showcasing his work at the Urban Arts Gallery in Salt Lake City and participating in local and state art shows.
