Stephanie Mathis

Stephanie Mathis has taken ballet, modern, jazz and tap classes as a child and teenager. Then she continued to dance for the college dance team called The Gallaudet Dance Company for 8 more years. Stephanie has choreographed and translated music to American Sign Language for the Gallaudet Dance Company. She has also taught Deaf, hard of hearing and hearing children gymnastics, ballet, and jazz for the National Deaf Dance Academy for several years. Stephanie's passion is to bring dance and body movement to Deaf children who were not given the opportunity to take dance classes and help them discover what their bodies can do.
