Reports to:

Audience Relationship & Community Coordinator will report to Cynthia Fleming (Executive Artistic Director)

Job Overview:

This role is part of SLAC’s Audience Relationship team. This team’s focus is on caring for, connecting with, and growing our audience. A primary function of this team is to take care of patrons’ ticketing needs including ticket sales and exchanges. The Audience Relationship team is directly connected to the care of our audience over the phone, email, and in person. The role of Audience Relationship & Community Coordinator, in addition to caring for our current audience, is to serve as the organizational and energetic support for building our audience through community connections. These connections include Street Fairs/Festivals, community ticket donations, and community calendars. This position also serves as a support to the Audience Relationship team as a whole and the projects therein.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Take care of patrons and their ticketing needs including ticket sales, exchanges, etc.
Manage, coordinate, and plan SLAC’s participation in neighborhood Street Fairs and the Utah Pride Festival
Assist in marketing efforts of the theatre
Share SLAC’s current events and productions on Community Calendars
Serve as a support to Audience Relationship Team projects including the season renewal process, group management, and box office coverage.
Qualifications:

Passion for Salt Lake Acting Company and non-profit theatre. Sincere interest in supporting the growth and care of this audience.
Great people skills. Able to make sincere connections with people.
At least 1 year experience in customer service
Exceptional organizational skills
Event planning experience is preferred
Basic computer knowledge including Google Drive, Microsoft Office, etc.
Experience with a ticketing system is a plus.
Specifications:

$14-$16/hour based on experience
30-40 hours per week
Shifts are 8 hours in length and are between the hours of 9am-10pm weekdays and 11am-10pm on Saturday/Sunday. During the run of a show, evening and weekend availability is expected. All day-time staff also serve as hosts or Box Office for our shows.
