In anticipation of the Homes Tour, bring your lunch and join Salt Lake historian Bim Oliver to learn about the history of development in the canyon, as it evolved from a place of industry to an idyllic park and secluded neighborhood.
The site of this year’s Preservation Utah Historic Homes Tour, City Creek is arguably Salt Lake City’s most unique neighborhood. It’s the only one that is located in a canyon, on a creek, and in a park. Its homes, constructed before World War II, reflect its distinct residential development pattern. If you are attending an event at Memorial House, a guard will greet you at the gate and allow you into Memory Grove Park.
If you are coming for an appointment, press the call button on the call box which is located 30 feet before the gate on the left hand side.
Parking is available within Memory Grove Park on both sides of the street. Events held at Memorial House has access to over 100 private parking spaces.
