Neurodiverse UT is hosting an annual virtual vigil to remember people with disabilities who were killed by their relatives or caretakers.

The Disability Day of Mourning or #DDoM2021 occurs every year on March 1st to remember the lives of disabled people lost to filicide. Filicide is when a disabled person is murdered by their relatives or caretakers regardless of intent. Media and society often view victims of filicide as burdens, that their deaths are inevitable.
