Dixie State University Bass Festival

The Dixie State University Bass Festival is dedicated to cultivating community among bassists and promoting excellence in bass performance.

The Dixie State University Bass Festival will be an all-day event on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Bassists of all ages and skill levels are invited to attend. Our guest artist will present a masterclass, coach bass ensembles, and perform a public solo recital. Participants will have the opportunity to perform in bass ensembles, attend masterclasses, participate in technique classes, and attend recitals.

ADMISSION INFO

Early festival registration is $35 ($40 after January 10th). Participants will receive a festival t-shirt and lunch. The guest artist recital is free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you in February in beautiful Saint George, Utah.

DAVID HABBEN

Graphic Designer; UDAM Teaching Artist | David received his BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2006. In 2008, he became one of the first illustrators to become a Children’s Book Design Fellow at Chronicle Books in San Francisco. For the next eight years, David continued to work as an illustrator and designer, both in-house and freelance. Then, In 2017, he earned his MFA in Studio Art, with a Graphic Design emphasis, from The University of Utah.
