What is Expressive Arts?
Expressive Arts uses a variety of art forms to play with one’s imagination and physical senses while exploring a range of emotions and personal challenges.
For this event, we will focus on self-love, just in time for Valentine’s Day. We will focus on using imagination, sensory experiences, and the arts to process, express, and communicate our emotions and experiences.
Materials list:
- Photocopy/original photo of self as an infant or small child (baby picture preferred) Note: if the personal photo is not available use a generic picture of a baby from a magazine or the internet. (Imagine as self but best if an actual photo of self)
- Notepad or writing paper
- Pens, pencils, three colored writing tools: crayons; felt pens; ballpoint pens; pencil crayons, etc
- Paper large enough for a photo to be temporary placed in the center with room for writing around it.
- Box or envelope to contain notes/cards
