SUFFRAGE by Jenifer Nii (free Script-In-Hand Series reading)

SUFFRAGE is Jenifer Nii’s 2013 play. Jenifer’s other plays with Plan-B include WALLACE (co-written with Debora Threedy), THE SCARLET LETTER, RUFF! KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (music by David Evanoff) and THE WEIRD PLAY (she also contributed to several SLAMs and (IN)DIVISIBLE).

SUFFRAGE is the story of two sister wives and how they navigate Utah’s little-known place in history as the second U.S. territory to give women the vote.

The original cast returns to celebrate the centennial of the 19th Amendment as part of Better Days 2020.

The original production enjoyed a sold-out run and was nominated by the American Theatre Critics Association for Best American Play Produced Outside New York.
