The Whags, Commander Salamander, Over Under at the Beehive -CANCELLED

The Whags are a frequent name on PNW bills, balancing self-curated “jamborees” with larger sold-out venue shows.The band blends groove-driven psychedelic funk, harmony-laden sunshine pop, and the swirly, noodling improvisation of another era. Their debut release, Smile Maker, saw regular airplay on notable community radio station KEXP and brought the band to some of Seattle’s larger stages. In November of 2019, the band returned to the studio to record a series of singles, the first of which releasesMarch 20.

The band’s sets will take cue from their ‘no days off’ tour ethos, seamlessly wandering and reprising through their full repertoire. This open approach to crafting sets and to their music overall has allowed The Whags to gather a diverse crowd around their music.
