Each year, the Guest Writers Series at the University of Utah brings distinguished authors to Salt Lake City. Our goal is to provide our community with an opportunity to engage in a dynamic, educational and inspiring relationship with literature. We aim to bring in a diverse array of voices and perspectives, and to provide a platform for an enriching dialogue between our authors and the audience.

Finch Lane Art Gallery at the Art Barn
Audrey Bauman is a PhD student at the University of Utah. She received her MFA from Northern Michigan University, where she was managing editor of Passages North. Her work has appeared in Hayden’s Ferry Review, CRAFT, HAD, and others.
Jessica Tanck is the author of Winter Here (UGA Press, 2024), winner of the Georgia Poetry Prize. Her work appears or is forthcoming from The Adroit Journal, Alaska Quarterly Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Colorado Review, DIAGRAM, Gulf Coast, and Kenyon Review, among others. She lives and writes in Salt Lake City, where she is a Ph.D. student in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Utah.
