The host of the 2002 Olympic Games, Salt Lake City has been the home of numerous major sports events, including the FIS Freestyle World Cup, U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Weightlifting, FIL Junior World Luge Championships, Long Track Speed Skating ISU Sprint World Championships, ISU World Sprint Speed Skating Championships and AVP Beach Volleyball competitions.
The Salt Palace Convention Center has welcomed fencers at the 2016 USA Fencing National Championships as well as the 2018 Absolute Fencing Gear® Women’s Sabre World Cup and the people of Utah are looking forward to seeing the world’s best young fencers return to compete for gold in 2020.
