USA Fencing is pleased to welcome you to Salt Lake City for the 2020 Junior and Cadet World Championships!

The next generation of Olympic hopefuls will be in action at the Salt Palace Convention Center from April 3-11, 2020 at the Junior and Cadet World Championships. Past Junior and Cadet world Champions have gone on to win Olympic medals, including Alexander Massialas (USA), Mariel Zagunis (USA), Inna Deriglazova (RUS), Yujie Sun (CHN), Timur Safin (RUS), Olga Kharlan (UKR) and more!

Choreographer; Dancer; Musician; UDAM Teaching Artist | Katie regularly performs throughout Utah with her cuadro which includes: Jake Abbott (guitar and cante), Sandy Meek (guitar), and Julie Sheen (cajon and palmas). While growing up in Utah she studied jazz, ballet, tap and hip-hop. After moving to Baltimore, Maryland for graduate school she fell in love with Flamenco after taking her first Sevillanas class. She studied with Solange Gomes for several years in Salt Lake City and most recently she lived in Sevilla, Spain where she studied with many flamenco maestros, including Luisa Palacio, Angel Atienza, Isabel Bayon and Javier Baron.
