Vernal UTAH Storytelling Festival

2-day storytelling festival featuring national and regional storytellers.

The Vernal UTAH Storytelling Festival takes place in the fourth week of March each year and is a bright spot during the deary winter months. The festival includes evening performances on Thursday and Friday night at  a low cost. There are also free daytime performances for students and a symposium for students and teachers.

Tickets are available two weeks before the festival online at and at Davis Food and Drug in Vernal and at the door.

Choreographer; Dancer; Musician; UDAM Teaching Artist | Katie regularly performs throughout Utah with her cuadro which includes: Jake Abbott (guitar and cante), Sandy Meek (guitar), and Julie Sheen (cajon and palmas). While growing up in Utah she studied jazz, ballet, tap and hip-hop. After moving to Baltimore, Maryland for graduate school she fell in love with Flamenco after taking her first Sevillanas class. She studied with Solange Gomes for several years in Salt Lake City and most recently she lived in Sevilla, Spain where she studied with many flamenco maestros, including Luisa Palacio, Angel Atienza, Isabel Bayon and Javier Baron.
