Water Marbling (Turkish Ebru) Art Workshop

Ebru (water marbling) is the traditional art of creating patterns by sprinkling color pigments on a tray of water and then transforming this pattern to a paper or fabric. It is believed that it started in 13th century in Turkistan and moved to China, India, Persia and Anatolia. Through time, new forms and techniques were perfected in the process and Turkey remained the center of water marbling for many centuries.
