Bluffdale Arts present one of America’s best loved musicals.
Singing in the Rain humorously satirizes and parodies the panic surrounding the troubling transitional period between ‘silents’ and ‘talkies’ in the dream factory of Hollywood in the 1920’s as the sound revolutional swept through.
Don Lockwood and his blond screen partner Lina Lamont are pressured by the studio boss to change their silent romantic drama The Dueling Cavalier and make a sound picture, the musical The Dancing Cavalier. There’s one serious problem however – the female star has a shrill, screechy new york accent.
