SUMA invites teenagers who are curious and passionate about art to expand their knowledge and explore new creative techniques. During this two-week camp, teens will create drafts of graphic novels and sculpt a character maquette exploring the theme of heroes. Maquettes are a sculptor’s small preliminary model. The camp consists of ten days, Monday through Friday, June 10-21. Each day, teenagers will spend three hours learning about story, characters, plot, design, illustration, and sculpture techniques. By the end of the camp, each participant will have two final products to take home.
Week 1: Graphic Novels
