A Prairie Home Companion started as a live radio production in 1974 and featured comedy sketches, music and Garrison Keillor’s signature monologue, “The News from Lake Wobegon.” Today, four million listeners on more than 600 public radio stations tune in to the show each week. The America the Beautiful Tour features Sweet Harmony and Garrison Keillor, with Piano Master Richard Dworsky and Fred Newman. And of course the World’s Greatest SFX Man and The Radio Rhubarb Band with Fiddling Richard Kriehn and Chris Siebold-Boy Guitarist, Guy Noir-Private Eye, News from Lake Wobegon, Audience Chorale, Poetry Declamation, and other classics from 41 years of radio history.
