Little Naturalist: Story Time at Swaner

Little Naturalist: Story Time at Swaner

Presented by Swaner EcoCenter at Swaner Eco Center

Little Naturalist is the perfect program for 3 to 5 year olds who are curious about animals, their habitats, the environment, and other aspects of nature. Join us the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month to read a specially selected nature-themed book, play games and participate in activities, and complete a craft.  Some favorites include snowshoeing on the preserve, interacting with live reptiles and amphibians, upcycling old materials into holiday decorations, and much more!

December 7: Animals in Winter by Henrietta Bancroft and Someone Walks By: The Wonders of Winter Wildlife by Polly Carson-Vo; Dress warm and join us for a snow shoe adventure to look for signs of wildlife on the preserve!

December 14 (**2nd Monday): When Santa Turned Green by Victoria Perla and Why Christmas Trees Aren’t Perfect by Dick Schneider; Add an ornament to this year’s tree by creating your own using up-cycled materials.
