The tiny compositions of Una Pett evolved by sheer accident, as by-products and leftover paint swatches from other paintings that were the primary focus of her work. “As I cut them into manageable sizes these little landscapes, poems almost, began to emerge,” says Pett. “Some called for further investigation; some stood fully on their own.” The resulting exploration leads to her exhibition Little by Little. The intimate and unexpected direction of these focused pieces have lead Pett to reconnect with the magic of the creative process.
