Rita Kalognomova Lambros was born in Valpariso, Indiana, and was active as an artist in Salt Lake City. She studied at the University of Michigan (BFA, 1984) and the University of Iowa (MFA, 1995). She is a painter and draftsman of expressionistic figures. Lambros began her career as an art instructor in 1989 and currently teaches at Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas.
