Salt Lake City painter June Lloyd Stevens served as an Air Force Service Pilot during World War II. She worked at Hill Air Field following the war where she met her husband. Lloyd graduated from the University of Utah and studied under Alvin Gittins and Earl Jones. Her daughter, Cary Stevens Jones was an artist and arts administrator in Salt Lake City.
