A 28′ x 22 ‘ bookcase of anodized aluminum containing 11,840 books. The linen binding of each book is one of 12 colors to form the pixels of an overall image of a desert cloud. The artist explains the work as the movement of analog to digital to the cloud. The intent is for the books to be checked out by students over the years to use as journals or sketch books, etc, and then returned to the cloud at the end of the agreed upon time.
