King's Road

A native of New Zealand’s South Island, artist Gary Knowles earned a PhD in education, recreation, and leisure at the University of Utah, while teaching courses in outdoor education, environmental education, and secondary teaching methods at the University. He moved to Michigan where he joined the art faculty at The University of Michigan, and then in 1995, went on to Canada to teach at the University of Toronto. Today he is an emeritus professor at Toronto.
