Salt Lake City native David Meikle attended the University of Utah and earned a BFA in illustration and graphic design in 1994, followed by an MFA from the University in 2006. That year, he took first place at the Springville Museum of Art’s 82nd Annual Spring Salon. Meikle’s work is represented in art historian Donna Poulton’s books, Painters of the Wasatch Mountains and Painters of Utah’s Canyons and Desert, and are found in the permanent collection of the Springville Museum of Art, as well as many private and corporate collections.
