Michael Peglau was born in Salt Lake City and graduated from Olympus High School. He attended Stanford University (BA), Bryn Mawr College (MA), Rutgers (MFA) and University of Pittsburg (PhD). At present, Peglau is a professor of art and art history at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
