Utah Museum of Fine Arts

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts is Utah's primary cultural resource for global visual arts. It is unique in its dual role as a university and state art museum. It is Utah's only visual arts institution that collects, exhibits, interprets, and preserves a comprehensive collection of original art objects. Since the beginning, the UMFA has always made it a priority for its collections to represent principal artistic styles and world culture. Today the UMFA strives to give anyone the opportunity to experience different ideas, values, and cultures from its extensive art collections. The Utah Museum of Fine Arts was selected as Salt Lake City's 2008 Parents' Pick for Best Museum for Teens and Best Artsy Class for Little Kids as part of Nickelodeon's ParentsConnect's First Annual Parents' Picks Awards.

      Salt 5: Daniel Everett Utah Museum of Fine Arts Salt 5: Daniel Everett Presented by Utah Museum of Fine Arts at Utah Museum of Fine Arts March 30-July 29, 2012 salt 5: Daniel Everett is the fifth in the Museum's series of exhibitions featuring innovative art from around the world. In his work, Daniel Everett explores the pursuit of meaning through various media including photography, video, performance, and installation. Much of his art focuses on liminal spaces, points of transition, and personal meaning found in public areas.

McQueen comes through with a penetrating, stoic performance in this classic film, and the racing sequences through the French countryside are nothing less than breathtaking.

This exciting and often humorous film takes us into the lives of Annabeth, Josh, and Brandon as they compete for the championship in the World Karting Association's National Series, widely considered the Little League for professional racing.

Since the late 1960s, Holt has created a far-reaching body of work, including Land Art, films, videos, site-specific installations, artist's books, concrete poetry, and major sculpture commissions.
